Geachte heer CHROMBRUGGHE,
Wij vragen Uw medewerking om burgers van België te informeren over de aanstaande Internationale Wedstrijd voor jonge musici “Kristallen stemvork”.

De organisatoren van de Wedstrijd vragen Uw medewerking om de voorwaarden van de Wedstrijd aan concrete instellingen (van Cultuur en Onderwijs) in België door te sturen en de massamedia erover te informeren.

De Wedstrijd “Kristallen stemvork” is bedoeld voor jonge musici van maximum 18 jaar. Deze Wedstrijd wordt sinds 1998 georganiseerd door de Russische Componistenbond, het Moskouse Staatsconservatorium, de niet-commerciële organisatie “Theater Amfion” onder de auspiciën van de Russische Commissie voor de UNESCO, en met de steun van het Ministerie van Cultuur van de Russische Federatie en de Regering van Moskou.

De jury bestaat uit de voornaamste Russische musici: Vladislav KAZENIN, Voorzitter van de Russische Componistenbond, Tatjana TSJUDOVA, professor van het Moskouse Conservatorium, Igor BRIL, professor van de Russische GNESSIN Muziekacademie etc.

Kandidaten moeten zich aanmelden vóór 1 juni 2009. De namen van de winnaars zullen in september 2009 bekend worden. Prijsuitreiking en Galaconcert vinden plaats in december 2009 in Moskou in het Dom Kompozitorov.

Gelieve in bijlage de voorwaarden van de VI-de Internationale Wedstrijd te willen vinden.

International composers` prize for children and the youth

The 6th International young composers contest named after Andrey Petrov

CRYSTAL KAMERTON”.

The Contest is undertaken by the Moscow State Tchaikovsky’s Conservatory, the Union of composers of Russia, Amphion Theatre.
Composers from any country of the world are welcomed to participate in the Contest

Age limit – composers born after December 2, 1991
Applications deadline – June 01, 2009 (date of postmark)


  • September’09 – nomination of prize-winners for Premium;

  • December’09 – Awarding Ceremony and Gala Concert of the winners in Moscow


Categories:

  • “Academic instrumental music”

  • “Academic vocal music”

  • “Jazz music”

  • «Song»


Age Groups:

“Academic vocal music”, “Academic vocal music” and «Song» categories:

 Junior group under 12 years old (born after June 02, 1997);

 Middle group 12-15 years old (birth date between June 02, 1994 and June 01, 1997);

 Senior group 15-18 years old (birth date between June 02, 1991 and June 01, 1994).

“Jazz music” category:

 Junior group до 15 years old (born after June 02, 1994),

 Senior group 15-18 years old (birth date between June 02, 1991 and June 01, 1994).


Participation regulations

  1. Composers can take part in the Contest in several categories.

  2. Prize-winner is admitted to Contest participation on condition of his transfer to the next age agroup or his participation in another category.


Application requirements

  1. For participating in the Contest it is required to submit an application in free form in Russian or English, separate for each category of the Contest.

  2. Application must contain the following information:

  • Category of the composition;

  • Name and date of birth of the participant;

  • Copy of birth certificate or passport of the participant;

  • 3х4сm one black-and-white photo of the participant (winners` photos will placed in the contest booklet);

  • Contact address (postal), phone number, e-mail of the participant;

  • Title of the composition, date of its creation, set of instruments and performers;

  • Name, address and phone of the participant’s place of study;

  • Name of the participant’s music master, his contact address and phone number;

  • Brief description of the participant’s professional background (awards list attached).

  1. Any information identifying the participant must not appear on scores or audio records.


Composition requirements

  1. The compositions must not be partially or completely performed in public or be awarded at other contests before the Awarding Ceremony of the Contest.

  2. Arrangements are not accepted for the contest.

  3. For contest participation it is allowed to perform not more than three compositions for each category (suite is considered as a single composition).

  4. The compositions should be presented in clavier, score or demo record form (single copy). If the participant applies for more than one category, the compositions for each category should be made on separate medium.

  5. Scores are to be written in ink or typewritten by computer. Illegibly written scores or low-quality audio records are not considered.

  6. For compositions in “Academic instrumental music” category: compositions should be performed by solo instrument, solo with accompaniment and ensembles with not more than 6 instruments. Time limit for every composition – not more than 12 minutes.

  7. For compositions in “Academic vocal music” category: chamber vocal compositions of the following forms are admitted: romance, vocal cycle, ballade, poem etc. (chorus compositions are not allowed to participate in the Contest). The author of the lyrics must be specified. Time limit for every composition - not more than 12 minutes.

  8. For compositions in “Jazz music” category: jazz compositions for groups not exceeding 6 instruments are admitted. Time limit for every composition - not more than 7 minutes.

  9. For compositions in «Song» category: various genres are accepted. The author of the lyrics must be specified. Time limit for every composition - not more than 5 minutes.


Prize awarding regulations

  1. Nominees for the prize will be assessed in each category and each age group.

  2. Prize-winners are selected among the nominees in each category and each age group.

  3. The winner of the Special Prize from the Jury could be any candidate for the Prize. Special Prize Winner’s status considers being equal to Prize-winner’s status.

  4. Nominees who did not win the Prize are called Diplomants. Prize-winners, Diplomants and Special Prize Winners are all called as a Contest Winners.

  5. The main evaluation criteria of compositions are: individuality of musical thinking, artistic impression and basics of mastership of composition means.

  6. Resolution of the Jury is destines to be final and is not subject to discussion. Review is not given.

  7. The Winners are invited to Moscow for awarding and playing the wining compositions.


The extra items

  1. The Jury reserves right to present at The Awarding Ceremony winner compositions fragmentarly.

  2. Directorate of the Prize is not responsible for and does not accept claims connected with authorship and presented at composition contest.

  3. Applied materials are not returned back to the authors.

  4. Contest participation means consent of the competitor for prize with Regulation of prize and resolution of the Jury.
