Third and Fourth Therapeutic Picture

Vermilion – Green Course

13.04 – 22.05.2015

Week 1, 13.04 – 17.04


13.04 We shall practise light and darkness with charcoal as a preparation for the following colour exercise.

14.04 – 17.04 In this veil painting exercise we enter a colour space with vermilion in combination with other colours.

We shall paint the vermilion transforming from its most ponderable to its most imponderable and transparent state.

Week 2, 20.04 – 24.04

20.04 – 22.04 We shall explore external sense perception and inner image observation. We shall work on how the interplay of vowels and consonants in speech creates an expression of light, colour and darkness.

- 08.30 – 09.15 practising speech formation.

23.04 – 24.04 We will trace mankind’s development as light, darkness and colour experience, in a journey through the ‘cultural epochs’. We will make the step from Magenta (India) to carmine (Persia).

- Practising excercises in painting on moist paper.

Week 3, 4, 5 and 6, 27.04 – 22.05


27.04 –20.05 We shall practise building up a picture of a patient out of light colour and darkness. From this picture we will learn to develop a therapeutic path. We will explore the colours Vermilion from: 27.04 - 06.05 and Viridian Green from: 11.05 – 20.05 (in combination with other colours) in relation to the healthy human being and in relation to illness and the processes of healing in the human being.

- Practising observation and analysis of patients’ work and other therapeutic skills.

- Practising the Vermilion exercise in veil painting for the therapist and assisting with therapeutic pictures.

- Practising the Viridian Green exercise in veil painting for the therapist and assisting with therapeutic pictures

07.05, 08.05 We shall practice building up a picture of a schoolchild and we will practice how to paint with this schoolchild.
